Staybridge Suites Tampa East- Brandon, an IHG Hotel

Hotel is nice. I loved the outdoor patio space and there is a grill to use (although we didn't). The rooms are nice as well, the kitchenettes adequate for those staying longer lengths of time and/or with families & want to cook to save money. There were definitely signs that the hotel/rooms are aged, and probably need to undergo a true renovation, but overall it's a nice place to stay. If you are a tall, be mindful that the shower heads are not very high. I'm 5'3 and felt the shower heads were very low. My first thought was, "Glad I'm short, for once", lol. We had a great stay, though. The location is right next to an office building & parking lot, so it's very quiet. We didn't hear anyone else in the halls or next door, ever, and they were soldout at least one night we were there. We were probably about 15 minutes from downtown Tampa, so if you want to be close to Tampa & all the "action", then this may not be the location for you. We didn't mind the drive, so it was just fine. All the staff we interacted with were also great & super friendly.

The hotel would be excellent but it is a bit outdated. The first thing one notices is the great staff! I mean, everyone here is awesome! Best service/interaction ever! The complimentary breakfast is good with a variety to choose from. The pool & gym are small but decent. The suites have mini kitchens, so it is great for extended budget-minded stays for work or with families. The location is great for access to Tampa & Brandon. It is also right off I75, so travel to/from is really convenient/easy. The main drawback/ negative thing here is that everything is old/outdated & could use a renovation. Though no of the issues of outdated decor & facilities are deal-breakers... the staff go out of their way to see to that! This was the 2ed time my family has spent at this location & we plan to again on our next stay in Tampa/Brandon.
